Digital, Canvas and Jacket
Save My Spot
After our initial consultation and we are given the go ahead, we will slot you into the calendar. Each Canvas portrait takes four weeks from start to completion while each jacket takes two weeks. In order to ensure there are no delays and overlaps, you will be placed in order of your request.
Colour Palette
Colour is so important to the process. During our initial consultation, we will discuss the colours that you would like in your artwork. You decide the main colours and colour scheme of your portrait. If you have selected a customized jacket, we will discuss the overall vision you have for your jacket including colours and text.
Creative Process
After the colours are chosen and we have added you to the calendar, you will provide several images that could be developed into the portrait. It is important that the images are clear, high resolution and a close up of the face.
From start to finish it is very important that you are happy with your artwork. The experience should be one that you remember forever so we endeavour to make it so that you are completely pleased with the final project.

Digital Portraits
Digital painting has emerged as an art form which uses familiar painting techniques such as watercolour, oil, acrylic, airbrushing etc. but it is applied with digital tools in programs on the computer or tablet. I will be using these techniques to make a digital portrait using the photographs provided by you. There are many benefits to choosing a digital portrait. The main one is flexibility.
Painting
Your portrait will be digitally painted by me. What that means is that after our consultation which will include your colour scheme and images provided, I will paint you a digital portrait. This portrait include a painting technique that I feel will showcase your portrait in the best light.
Unique
Your artwork has a guarantee that its likeness will not be used in another piece.
Colour
Your painting will have a colour scheme uniquely yours. You will chose the colours that reflect the esthetic you are going for. It is very important that this artwork feels truly like you.
Digital File
With your digital portrait, you can print copies for Christmas cards for your friends, add to the background of your computer or use in your social media. The Digital file is yours to do with as you please.

Jacket Painting
Personalized Jackets are the most recent addition to the Melanin Daune family and one of our client favourites. At the core, it is considered wearable art. Acrylic Paint is mixed with a fabric medium which creates an incredibly thick and beautiful texture. This paint is applied to a jacket provided by us or you in a unique design. Each jacket is one of a kind!
Design
Your unique jacket will be painted by me. What that means is that after our consultation in which you will share your colour scheme, text and overall vibe, I will design and paint your custom jacket.
